Rotary Club Support Duke of Edinburgh Scheme
Sandy Rutherford, representing Hexham Rotary Club, presented us with a cheque for £2000 towards the costs of running our Duke of Edinburgh Group in the coming year.
The money had been raised from a very enjoyable and well attended event held in Hexham Abbey to mark the Queen’s Platinum Jubilee.
Jamie Yeowart, expedition supervisor, was delighted to receive the cheque which will ensure that a new group of young people can undertake the Duke of Edinburgh challenges this year.
