The family of Val Carr, a kind and much respected member of our community, have made a generous donation of £1150 to the Hexham Youth Initiative in her memory.
Val has helped many children and young people, supporting youth and community groups and running the Young Mum's creche and together with her husband, Brian, fostered many children and young people.
The donation, collected at her funeral and a family golf tournament, will help to refurbish part of the youth club and help towards a family trip to Beamish. We are most grateful to Brian, Sarah, Victoria, Claire and all the family for thinking of us at this difficult time.
