25 young people aged 14 to 19 took part in the recent Duke of Edinburgh assessed expeditions at both Bronze and Silver level.
The Silver group started near Bellingham on Friday the 24th of June, first camping at Stonehaugh and the Bronze started at Greenhead, both groups camping at Winshields on the Saturday night.
Lisa Akhurst, Expedition Assessor, was delighted with both groups.
‘They showed a great deal of independence over the weekend: camping; cooking; navigating and working well in their teams. They should all be very proud.’
