Duke of Edinburgh Award
The young people who started their Duke of Edinburgh Award last September are now almost finished and will receive their badges and certificates at HYI's AGM this year.

The young people have worked at different levels of the award:
- Eight young people have worked toward gaining their Bronze award
- Ten young people have done activities to complete their Silver award
- Two girls from the project have worked toward achieving their Gold award.

The expeditions this year have included camps and hikes at Hadrian's Wall, Bamburgh and the Lake District. The girls doing their Gold award did a 5 day sail on the North East coast and a 5 day camp at the Forest of Dean in Glouster.

Well done to everyone who has taken part in the award challenge!!!
